Beach and Bay Cottage Tour Sneak Peek #1 | lifestyle

Tour-goers can see this salt box home located in a waterfront community in Ocean View. This home is one of five homes available for in-person viewing in 2022 and one of 12 that will be available for a virtual tour.

Although originally from Baltimore, the owners of this home have forged a deep and lasting connection with the Ocean View area, having married on the beach in 1977 and building a vacation home in 2004. Occasional vacation use eventually gave way to retirement plans with the realization that renovations were warranted for their 18-year-old three-bedroom, three-bath traditional salt room in a waterfront community of Ocean View.

Beginning in 2015, the main floor was enlarged, with subsequent years adding an expanded kitchen, a porch to sun room conversion, a new screened porch, and an updated powder room, powder room, and master bath, resulting in a total of 3,800 square feet. Lastly, an underground pool and patio were added to complete the transformation. The home is now filled with sentimental family heirlooms, as well as unique artwork and memorabilia from their extensive travels around the world.

This is just one of the properties viewed by those purchasing tickets for the 30th Annual Beach & Bay Cottage Tour. This week’s house is one of five houses on the 30th Annual Tour available to personal tour combo ticket holders. And like all 12 houses on the 2022 tour, holders of combo and virtual tickets can also visit the house virtually.

Each of the 12 homes will include a professionally produced video, giving tour customers a secure opportunity to visit each home as many times as they like from anywhere during the three-week virtual tour. Special features include drone video footage from a bird’s eye view and the ability to view the tour on any internet-enabled device.

The 30th Annual Beach & Bay Cottage Tour is presented by Leslie Kopp and the Leslie Kopp Group.

Combo tickets are $50 and virtual-only tickets are $35. Combination tickets are strictly limited to 500 tickets for each of the two personal days of the tour.
