EBU Technology & Innovation – AIDI starts a series of virtual tours with a focus on RAI’s AI work

The AI and Data Initiative (AIDI) invites EBU members on a virtual tour with RAI’s R&D, ICT, and International Affairs departments showcasing their work on speech recognition, subtitling, sentiment analysis, remote production, and more.

This call is scheduled for June 17th at 4:00 p.m. CEST and is open to staff from most public media organizations in Europe and beyond (EBU members). Check out the agenda here. To participate in the call, contact Lalya Gaye (EBU).

The aim of the call is not only to present the work of the RAI, but also to look for similarities and opportunities for contributions and cooperation with other EBU member organizations. And of course it’s a great opportunity to just get in touch with the AI-related teams at the Italian broadcaster.

It is the first in a new series of AIDI sync calls that put the AI-related work of the EBU affiliates at the center and invite others to find out more.

The EBU AI and Data Initiative is the EBU’s interdisciplinary research on AI and data in PSM, including regulatory aspects, technologies, organizational matters, skills, strategies and content developments. The AIDI Group defines the strategy and priorities of the initiative and meets online once a month to discuss ongoing work, common topics and future opportunities.
